Activities for the Holiday Season

Make the most of the Holiday Season with our family activities. For the occasion, the Museum has prepared a special rally that gives you a fresh and original look at the Museum. At the end of your treasure hunt, you can create your own toy: A Jacob’s ladder (material supplied). These activities are offered at no extra cost on the weekends of December 2nd, 10th and 17th, and during the Holidays, December 27th to 30th and January 3rd to 8th. Mad about science festival presented by Hydro-Quebec

Do not miss the 6th edition of the Mad about science festival, presented by Hydro-Quebec, which will take place from May 28 to 31, 2015. Three days of captivating activities and surprising discoveries! For the occasion, many science-related organizations have joined their knowledge to create a fun program, full of discovery and surprises! A variety of stands, conferences, and animations await you.

School break

Each year, at the beginning of March, families are invited to enjoy an animated school break at the Musée du Fjord! The Museum is open on Monday for this week only. A variety of youth and dynamic activities await visitors every day of the week

For the occasion, a discount is applied on all admission fees: $6.00 for children ages 6 to 17, $11.50 for adults, and free for children under 6 years old. A 25% discount is also applied to family rates.

Museums Day

Each year, the last Sunday of May is the event for cultural discoveries in the Saguenay region, as well as throughout the province of Quebec: Museums Day.

This open-doors day allows visitors from here and abroad to explore the well-known and less-known treasures of many museum institutions in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, such as the Musée du Fjord.
